Paid Social Media Analyst

Tailwind, a division of Audacious Studios, is looking for a Paid Social Media Analyst to join our team. We are looking for a person that is passionate about paid social digital marketing, understands the nuances, and is on the cutting edge of our fast paced industry.

The Paid Social Media Specialist is responsible for supporting social media and influencer marketing clients in paid social strategy recommendations, paid media management, and reporting of campaigns. Further, the successful candidate must excel in the areas of measurement and performance benchmarking for paid social amplification. 


The successful candidate must have experience managing paid media on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and ideally TikTok and Twitch as well, managing budgets  ranging from $5,000 and $100,000 and beyond. The successful candidate will have deep paid social media expertise and will be extremely detail oriented, accountable to outcomes, and a team player.


Your Responsibilites

Tailwind relies on Paid Social Media Analysts to execute and oversee paid social influencer campaigns day in and day out to budget and goal. The responsibilities of this position are: 

    • Develop, execute, and optimize cutting-edge digital campaigns full cycle from conception and launch to optimization and final reports, in partnership with our sister agency, August United. 
    • Daily optimization and goal achievement of paid media campaigns.
    • Campaign budget management and pacing.
    • Work cross-agency and cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies, evolving execution of social content, and goals for clients.
    • Provide ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance on scheduled and ad-hoc basis to relevant stakeholders.
    • Define, measure, and evaluate relevant paid media KPIs such as impressions/total reach, website traffic, on-site conversion, cost and click performance and ultimately ROI.
    • Build out media buys through whitelisting for various social ad platforms and oversee the day-to-day execution of paid media.
    • Oversee and manage the overall budget for paid media for each campaign.
    • Conduct audience targeting recommendations related to client objectives. 
    • Maintain and grow knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies.
    • Improve the process for paid media buying and management of influencer marketing and paid social campaigns to increase efficiency and effectiveness for both clients and agencies.
    • Collaborate with our Media Analysts and Media Interns on successful digital programs. 
    • Ensure quality of work produced is in line with client expectations and ensure we are developing proactive and strategic insights that always provide the “so what.”
    • Think quickly on your feet and answer questions that are thrown our way, often on the spot in online or in-person meetings. 
    • Hold the accountability for performance in achieving top results. 
    • Maintain a strong ability to prioritize work and resources based on importance and timeliness. Timelines, budgets, and availability shift; we need someone who adapts quickly and can roll with the nature of the business.
    • Maintain regular communication with our key stakeholders and build genuine rapport.
    • Maintain in-platform knowledge for all social channels and stay up-to-date on the latest updates and features.


In addition, you meet these minimum requirements:
  • A minimum of two years of paid social media campaign management experience is a must. 
  • Is a strong leader who can manage multiple clients and projects.
  • Proficient with Google sheets,  Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in digital collaboration and project management tools.
  • Proficient in running remote meetings via Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple campaigns, budgets and tasks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills internally and with clients. 
  • Statistical and analytical competency. 
  • Ability to look at any brand, project or challenge with a fresh point of view.
  • Ability to delegate and clearly articulate tactical work to junior team members while ensuring accuracy and quality. 

Required Education

 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field 
1-2 years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Direct Report

 This position does not have any direct reporting responsibilities.


 This position may require travel for client meetings.
